NRF Annual Conference 2016

The National Recruitment Federation, in association with The Irish Times and Bond Adapt, held its Annual Conference at Citywest Hotel, Dublin, on Thursday 28th April 2016. The biggest conference for recruiters in Ireland attracted 350+ delegates from Ireland and overseas.

Bond were proud to once again be a headline sponsor at 2016’s NRF Annual Conference. The NRF assembled a fantastic line-up of speakers to explore their theme of ‘Navigating the Future’ and Bond consultants were on hand throughout the event.

Conference Chair – Kevin Green, CEO, REC

Kevin has been the Chief Executive of the Recruitment & Employment Confederation since June 2008. During Kevin’s tenure, REC has been recognised for its excellence in service provision and campaigns, winning nine trade association and member awards, as well as Kevin personally winning the Trade Association Forum’s leadership award.

Keynote Speaker – Ireland Rugby Coach Joe Schmidt

Since taking the Head Coach position in 2013, Joe coached Ireland to back to back Six Nation’s Championship wins. Joe discussed his experience and insights regarding managing players in such a high-pressure environment and how his strategies can be applied to the business world. Following a fifteen minute presentation, Joe was interviewed by Conference Chair Kevin Green, CEO, REC.

Dave Hazlehurst, aka ‘Google Dave’

Dave informed delegates of what the future holds for digital technology and the growth in mobile recruitment.

Barbara McGrath, President of NRF

Barbara explored facts and figures of industry performance both in Ireland and around the globe and also looked at the trends over the past year.

Annemarie Muntz, President of CIETT (the Global body for Federations)

AnneMarie looked at the future of work and how the HR services industry is leading in a changing world of work.

James Osborne, Managing Director, Innergy

James’s presentation was entitled, ‘How to grow your Recruitment Business’.

Ingrid Devin, EMEA Diversity & Inclusion Lead, Dell

Ingrid addressed the topic of diversity in the workplace; sharing insights into the successful global programme Dell have in place.

Caitriona Lannen, Head of The Irish Times Jobs

Caitriona disseminated the results of a survey of talent living abroad.
